Buddy Joe Newsome, 66, of Weatherford, died early Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at his residence. Born July 8, 1941 in Comanche, Texas, he was a resident of Weatherford and Parker County for most of his life.He was a Project Manager for Joe R. Jones Construction, member of the Dennis First Baptist Church and a 42-year member of the Parker County Sheriff's Posse. Graduated from Weatherford High School 1959. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Newsome; parents, Grady and Elizabeth Newsome; daughters, Becky Langford Vicky Danley; and a granddaughter, Tana Danley.Survivors include daughter, Meagan Newsome of Fort Worth; brother, Jerry Newsome and wife, Marilyn, of Weatherford; and grandson, Rudy Danley of Weatherford.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 in the Dennis First Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Shearman officiating. Interment will be in Johnson Cemetery. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.Visitation was held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the funeral home.Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel913 N.
