Bio
Jerry W. Newsome, 71, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 24, 2018, in Weatherford. Jerry was born June 6, 1946, in Comanche the youngest son of Grady and Elizabeth Newsome. Jerry married the late Marilyn J. Harris on August 19, 1966 and together had two sons. His entire professional career was devoted to Bell Helicopter where he was a Material Bonder retiring after over 41 years. He was a member of the UAW Union Local 218 and was a life-long member of the Springtown Chapter Masonic Lodge. Most of all, Jerry will be remembered as being a devoted husband and father. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn in 2014 and by his brother, Buddy Joe Newsome.
