"Lexington Clipper-Herald" – Lexington, NE Kenneth Fecht, 51, of Cozad died July 23, 2004, at the Cozad Hospital. Services were held on Tuesday, July 27 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington. Burial was in the Elm Creek Cemetery. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad was in charge of arrangements. He was born Oct. 2, 1952, at Kearney to Rudolph and Maggie (Shaffer) Fecht. Survivors include four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Leland and Retha Fecht of Berwyn, Garreld and Jean Fecht of Axtell, Harold Fecht of North Platte and Stephen Fecht of Cozad; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Patricia Hird of Litchfield, Mary and Melvin Hicken of Grand Island, Martha and Jim Downs of Carthage, Mo., Clara and Erman Case of Cozad and Linda Chandler of Council Bluffs, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. He attended District #38 school in Lexington and the Nebraska Trainable School at Cozad. He had been employed at the Villager Restaurant in Lexington. For the past 12 years, he was a client at the south Central Vocational Center and Workshop in Cozad. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington, the People First Organization of Nebraska and was a former Boy Scout. He was an avid Nebraska football fan, enjoyed playing basketball and bowling. Ken always cherished his time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Rose Marie Gruntorad and Shirley Fecht and 2 brothers, Clayton and Richard. A memorial has been established in his memory.
