Bio
Son of George & Frieda (Wendt) Wennekamp. He attended schools in Platte County. Martin married Elsie (Korte) Sieh on June 1, 1963 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus. He was a farmer and livestock feeder in the Bismark township. Martin was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served on various boards and sang in the choir for many years. He also sang in the Columbus Apollo Club. He served as a Platte County Supervisor from 1982 to 1994. Martin was board member of Consumers Co-op of Columbus and also of the Platte County Feeders Association. He as a committee member of the Platte County Farmers Home Administration. Martin was a member of the Lutheran Layman's League.
