married Willetta Lorain Nicholson in Denver, Colorado on February 19, 1936 inducted into Army on July 9, 1941 and discharged with honors on April 3, 1946; received the American Defense Medal, Asia and Pacific Medal and Good Conduct Medal; he was proud to have served in the military and loved his country ; he was exceptionally proud that, at one time, all five of his children were in the armed force
