Bio
Nancy Osterman, 65, died on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Nancy was born January 15, 1956 in Okarche, Oklahoma to Rudolph and Lucille Ruzicka. Growing up on a farm northwest of Yukon, she graduated from Yukon High School in 1974 and then went on to pursue a degree in Education from Oklahoma State University. She later graduated with her Master's Degree in Education and taught Family and Consumer Sciences at Yukon High School for 20 years, where she touched many lives through FCCLA and served as Pom sponsor for many years. After retiring in 2018, she enjoyed camping, gardening, and spending time with her first granddaughter, Lucy. She was remembered for her love for her family, enjoying being in nature, and sewing. Nancy met Danny Osterman in the 7th grade, and they later married on March 21, 1987, and spent 34 years together. They continued to operate the family farm that Nancy grew up on. They enjoyed traveling to many national and state parks, being outdoors, and cooking. Nancy would be missed by all who knew her and loved her dearly. Nancy was preceded in death by parents Rudolph and Lucille Ruzicka; and her brother, David Ruzicka. She was survived by her husband Danny; daughter, Jessica and husband Justin Gore; stepson, Jared Osterman and wife Ashley; granddaughters, Lucy and Abigail Gore; and grandson, Owen Osterman. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, 15 July, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon.
