Betty Earlene Birmingham Holcomb passed away on July 28, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. Betty was born on September 26,1925 in Delta County, Texas. Betty was married to James F Holcomb. They had three children Gloria J Gregg, James R Holcomb, and Ronald L Holcomb. She had two grandchildren Shannon Wooldridge and Chad Gregg. Betty was a Dallas resident for several years; during that time she was a business owner of Holcomb Tree Service with her husband, James. Books and education were one of the most important things to Betty. She loved to share books and have very stimulating conversations about current events and history. Betty had a love of travel. She visited Russia, Europe, Australia, and traveled all over the United States. Betty embraced helping others whether that was through charities or being hands on by handing out blessing bags during the pandemic. She loved animals and her flowers in her backyard. She is preceded in death by her husband, James F Holcomb; her two sons James R Holcomb and Ronald L Holcomb; and her granddaughter Shannon L Wooldridge. Betty is survived by her daughter Gloria J Gregg; grandchildren Chad and Dixie Gregg; and her great-grandchildren, James Wooldridge, JT Gregg, and Marni Gregg. There will be a graveside service honoring her life at Lake Creek Cemetery in Lake Creek TX on August 7th at 10:00am.
