News-Gazette, Champaign, Illinois, October 6, 1937, Page 2: FUNERAL RITES THURSDAY FOR FISHER WOMAN Fisher, Oct. 6 – (BSC) – Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Fisher Christian church for Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Waggener, 85, with Rev. Dean McGrew, former pastor of a Champaign Christian church, and Rev. O. E. Richardson of the Fisher Christian church officiating. Burial will be in Willow Brook cemetery. Mrs. Waggener died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Rittenhouse, southwest of here. The deceased had been in poor health for several years and a year ago moved to her daughter's home to live. Mrs. Waggener was born Sept. 3, 1851, at Madison, Ind. On Nov. 24, 1874, she married William B. Waggener and had resided in this community about 50 years. She was a member of the Fisher Christian church, Woman's Relief Corps and was active in civic and social affairs. Besides the daughter she leaves a son, Lewis, Elreno, Okla., and a brother, John E. Campbell, Monroeville, Ind.
