POLASEK, Joe of Granger. Age 87. Died 3/8/1988 in a Granger nursing home. Rosary recited (Friday) from Condra Funeral Home in Granger. Services held (Sat.) from S.S. Cyril & Methodius Church. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Msgr. Edward Rabroker and Msgr. George Tydlacka officiated. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Mr. Polasek was BORN 1/7/1901 in Milesovice, Czechoslovakia and came to U.S. as a child. He was a farmer all his life and a member of the S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and the KJT Lodge. Preceded in death by wife, Libby Mokry Polasek. SURVIVORS: 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Mildred & Rudolph Vrana of Beasley, Mary Lee & Bill Machacek of Houston, Martha & Arthur Palla of Austin; 5 sons & daughters-in-law, Raymond & Verna Dell Polasek, Joe & Kitty Polasek of West Germany, Marvin & Wilma Polasek of Wallis, Dominic Polasek of Granger; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Frank, Rudolph of Taylor, Jerry Polasek of Granger; 3 sisters, Hattie Jarosek, Annie Mokry of Taylor, Mildred Kasper of Thorndale.
