Bio
On May 9, 1951, Marvin Bernard Polasek was born to Joe and Libbie Polasek in Taylor, Texas. He was raised in Granger where he attended public and Catholic schools. On October 11, 1975 in Wallis, Texas Marvin married Wilma Phelps and to this union they welcomed their daughter, Theresa. Marvin spent his life as a welder working for commercial buildings; he also spent twenty years working with Hudson Products in Beasley. Marvin passed away on November 10, 2018 in San Marcos, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Wilma Polasek of San Marcos; daughter, Theresa Polasek, and grand dog, Claire Bear, of San Antonio; brothers, Raymond Polasek and wife, Verna Dell, of Houston, Dominic Polasek and wife, Barbara, of Granger; sister, Mary Lee Machacek of Houston. Marvin is preceded in by his parents, Joe and Libbie Polasek; brothers, Joe Polasek and Norbert Polasek; sisters, Mildred Vrana and Martha Palla. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 839 Church Street, East Bernard, TX 77435. A rosary will begin at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 2:00 PM Holy Cross Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 Wallace St. in East Bernard.
