Daughter of John L. & Eunice V. (Witters) Rickert. Virginia attended District #12 school and graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus in 1936. She married Milton Ewert on February 1, 1939 in Columbus. Virginia worked as a clerk at Becton-Dickinson for many years before her retirement. Virginia was a member of the Golden Keys Extension Club , where she also served on the Extension council, and she was also a member of the Merry Mixers Card Club. Virginia was a 4-H leader and council member and was active in the Ladies Aid at St. John's Lutheran Church Shell Creek. She enjoyed her crafts especially fixing and repairing dolls.
