Bio
Mrs. Phyllis Waits "Phil" Hofmister, 55, secretary-treasurer of the Pike County Farm Bureau, died Sunday in Southwest Regional Medical Center. She had been ill about five days. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Catchings Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Williams, Dr. Wyatt Hunter and the Rev. Butch Kirkland officiating. Mrs. Hofmister was born June 20, 1921, in Green County and was a resident of 525 Second St. in McComb at the time of her death. Survivors include her husband, Raymond C. Hofmister, McComb; one son, Raymond J. Hofmister, McComb; two brothers, James L. Waits, Allen Ray Waits, both of Biloxi, and one grandchild. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery with Catchings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
