Bio

Son of Ross and Louisa (Stanton) Corwin. Frank A. Corwin, 1887–1970 Services for Frank A. Corwin, 82, of 1211 Home Park Blvd., Waterloo, Iowa, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tues., April 20, 1970, at the Chapel of Memories West with the Rev. Earle D. McCrea, pastor of the Bethel United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories. Mr. Corwin died at 10:25 p.m. on Saturday (April 18, 1970) at Parkview Gardens Nursing Home of complications of advanced age. He was born July 16, 1887, west of Cedar Falls, Iowa, to Ross and Louisa (Stanton) Corwin. He married Evella Jordan on June 23, 1911, at Cedar Falls. They farmed at Janesville, Iowa, before moving to Waterloo 35 years ago. He was employed by the Herrick Refrigerator Co. and was retired in 1957. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Glen, Thomas and Lester; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Close and Mrs. Orville Close; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
