In Gods morn her orb will rise, Once more a star of Paradise. Elizabeth Mankin was born 22 Jan 1828 in Floyd Co, KY, daughter of John Bracken Mankins and his first wife Mary "Polly" Sloan. She died 6 Aug 1899, in Williamson Co, TX and was buried in the Whitley Yoes Cemetery. Shewas married three times as follows: (1) Louallen (Lewallen) J. FINE, age 25, and Elizabeth MANKINS, age 19, married 8 Aug 1847 by C. G. Gilbreath, J.P., Washington Co, AR. (2) David (Dedrick) YOES, age 24, and Mrs. Elizabeth FINE, age 20, married 14 May 1848, Washington Co, AR. (This would explain her burial in Yoes Cemetery.) (3) Jordan WHITLEY and Mrs. Elizabeth YOES married 24 May 1866 by T. S. Whitley, Minister of the Gospel, Williamson Co, TX (Bk 4, Lic. 274). There are actually two listings for this marriage in the "Williamson County Texas Marriage Records 1848-1888," p.79. The second is for 22 Jul 1866 (Bk 4, Lic. 288).
