Bio
Gustaf "Gus" Bernt, 71, of Little Rock passed away July 1, 2021. He was born December 19, 1949 in Columbus, Nebraska to the late Raymond and Catherine (Good) Bernt. He was a twenty year veteran where he served in the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf War. He was awarded the Bronze Star medal, the Meritorious Service medal and the Purple Heart. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling, playing cards and watching sports. Gus also loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Gus was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Bernt. Gus is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Linda Pieters-Bernt of the home; sons, Michael (Sabrina) Bernt of Enterprise, AL and David (Jamie) Bernt of North Little Rock, AR; siblings, Donna Aldrich of Jacksonville, AR, Ron (Connie) Bernt of Russellville, AR, Judy Davis of Jacksonville, AR and John (Beth) Bernt of Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Destiny and Landon as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 5, 2021 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136 .
