Lillian Sophie Elder APRIL 6, 1921 – JULY 9, 2021 (age 100) Lillian Sophie Machac Elder, 100, of Port Lavaca, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021. She was born in Calhoun County to the late Edward and Sophie Kabela Machac on April 6, 1921. She was a devout member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Port Lavaca. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, Lillian is preceded in death by her husband; George S. Elder, son; James Elder, sisters; Margie Kohl, Ruby Duderstadt, and Pauline Duderstadt, and brother, Edward Machac. She is survived by her sons; George S. Elder, Jr., and Thomas Elder and his wife Linda, three grandchildren; Curtis Elder, Rebecca Rendon, and Joseph Elder, and three great-grandchildren; Daeton Rendon, Nolan Rendon, and Bailey Elder, all of whom will cherish her memory. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 12-1:30 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 1:30 p.m., all at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the Rosary at 2 p.m., with interment following at Six-Mile Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Curtis Elder, Daeton Rendon, Raymond Brandl, and Richard Meyer, Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Meyer and Lloyd Meyer. FAMILY George S.
