Bio

Albin Lichnovsky, 81, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at his residence. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Oakwood Cemetery. Albin was born in West, Texas, to the late John and Sophie Lichnovsky. He attended schools at West, Weatherford Jr. College and Baylor University. During World War II, he joined the U.S. Navy and served aboard the aircraft carriers, USS Enterprise and USS F.D.R. He retired from Montgomery Ward in 1988 after 40 years of employment. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; brothers, Ernest and Bobby; and sister, Lillie Owens. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Matus and husband, David, of Tours; brothers, Billy and George; and many other family members and friends. Waco Tribune-Herald: 11/16/2007 - 11/17/2007
