Daniel Boone, III 1809-1880 was the son of Captain Daniel Morgan Boone and Sarah Griffin Lewis of Westport, Jackson County, Missouri (formerly of North Carolina and Virginia, respectively). On January 19, 1832 Daniel III married Mary Constance Philibert in Westport, Jackson County, Missouri. He finalized purchase of 80 acres on December 5, 1833 on Section 4 of Kaw Township, Jackson County. The 1860 Federal Census lists the area as Division 35, Jackson County, Missouri. Their twelve children were born and raised there. Daniel and Mary Constance are buried in what is now the Forest Hill Cemetery. Married Miss Constance "Mary" Philabert, orphan daughter of Gabriel Philabert of Canada, a family of French extraction who moved to St. Louis in 1816. On the death of her parents, she with her sister Mary Ann, was taken by her uncle, Joseph Philabert, and her brothers, Gabriel, Joseph, John, Frank and Peter were apprenticed to trades. Her brother Gabriel was subsequently appointed government blacksmith to the Kaw and Osage Indians and was stationed in Kansas Territory, near the mouth of the Kaw. On marrying he took his sister Constance to live with him.
