MAREK, Mrs. Charles L. of Taylor. Age 85. Died 10/20/1971 (Wed.) in the Taylor hospital. Services held (Friday) at Condra Memorial Chapel followed at 10 with rites at St.Mary's Catholic Church. Burial in St.Mary's Cemetery. Rev. James Olnhausen and Rev. Oliver Johnson officiated. Grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers. She was BORN 2/14/1885 in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States at age of 5. Lived in Williamson Co. for past 65 yrs. and in Taylor for the last 15 yrs. Member of above Catholic Church, the KJZT Lodge and St.Anne's Altar Soc. SURVIVORS: 6 daughters, Mrs. Martha Malek of Robstown, Mrs. Lillie Ermis of Woodsboro, Mrs. Annie Lalla and Miss Agnes Marek of Taylor, Mrs. Stacy Smith of Thorndale and Mrs. Bernadette Tiani of Massachusetts; 5 sons, Charles B. Marek of Thorndale, Richard Marek of Robstown, Adolph and Bill Marek of Corpus Christi and Raymond Marek of Texarkana; 2 sisters, Mrs. Stacy Bird of California and Mrs. Mary Janecke of Weimar; 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
