Avalee Caldwell, age 90, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 26, 2017. She was born August 6, 1927 in Lubbock, Texas, to Vernon and Opal (Beesinger) Cottle. On September 3, 1948, Avalee married George Ray Caldwell in Rockwall, Texas. She was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas. She is survived by her son, "Buz" Vernon Ray Caldwell and wife Linda of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Brandi Caldwell of Frisco, Texas, Krissi Caldwell of Marlin, Texas and Jacob Wynne of Weatherford, Texas; great-grandchildren, Taylor Caldwell Moody and husband Scott of Arlington, Texas, Tyler Eastham of McKinney, Texas; her beloved cat, Socks; many other loving relatives and friends. Avalee was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Opal Cottle; husband, George Ray Caldwell; sisters, Doris Jean Scalf and Ruth Grable; daughter-in-law, Rosalyn Caldwell. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013.
