Ruby T. Riddle Hubbard Stratton (August 16, 1905 ~ April 01, 2000) 16 August 1905 - 1 April 2000 [Estimated Age at Death: 94 years, 7 months, 16 days] *** Ruby T. Stratton GALENA -- Ruby T. Stratton , 94, of Galena, died at 1:35 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Barker Rest Home in Galena after an illness. She was born Aug. 16, 1905, in Marion County, Ark., to John Nathaniel and Ellen Felicia Jones Riddle . She was the middle child of 24 siblings. She married Frank Hubbard in 1920 (sic) [June 22, 1932] at Pineville, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1950. She later married Ivan Stratton at Portland, Ore., but he died in the 1970s. (sic) [22 November 1980] She moved to Galena from Portland in 1988. She was employed by the Junge Baking Company in Joplin, Mo., before working in the cafeteria at the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital at Denver. She also worked at the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital at Portland. She retired at age 60. Mrs. Stratton was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Galena. She is survived by a sister, Erie Morse of Baxter Springs, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 3, at Hill Crest Cemetery in Galena. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena. Friends may call at the home of a niece, Leona Hesse, 1301 W. 19th St. in Baxter Springs.
