Bio

U.S. ARMY WORLD WAR II Frederick Henry Johnson, devoted to his faith and family, passed to eternal life on Saturday, May 8, 2021. A native of Dubuque County, Iowa and a long time resident of Arlington, Texas, he believed in service and hard work. Throughout his 93 years, he faithfully served his faith, family, community and country. He enlisted in the United States Army following World War II and enjoyed a successful 40 year career as a Professional Architect in the State of Texas. But his greatest service and success was his 65 year marriage to Merce and the four children they raised, who blessed them with 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. And as part of his life of service, he requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Arlington Life Shelter for the homeless. https://arlingtonlifeshelter.org/get-involved/ Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the services. A visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1927 SW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, Texas 76017 on Monday, May 24, 2021 beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Dr, Arlington, Texas.
