Buffalo Gap - Steve Martin Humphreys, 69, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11am at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery, directed by Fry-Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1 from 6:30-8:30pm at the funeral home. Steve was born to R. L. and Mary (Patton) Humphreys in Abilene, December 28, 1951. He was first married to Carolyn Kay Hussman in 1972 and divorced in 1992. They had two children, Corey Jason Humphreys, and Alaina Shea Humphreys. His second marriage was to Karen Kay Baker in 1998. Steve and Karen truly enjoyed their life long hobbies together. Sadly, she preceded him in death February 17, 2008. Steve was mechanically inclined and worked in the diesel truck parts industry most of his adult life. He passed away while in the employ of Bruckner Truck Sales, San Angelo. Steve enjoyed all his years working at Bruckner's and made many good friends with employees and customers. Steve was also an avid hunter and guide and enjoyed horseback trail riding. Steve is survived by his son, Corey, and daughter in law Mitzi, his two grandchildren Walker and Parker Humphreys; one sister Hazel Hackney; and one brother Lester Humphreys.
