Bio

J.P. "Doc" Whitman, 78, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 14, 2004. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Burns, of Amarillo Bible Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Survivors include a daughter, Paula Roberts of Amarillo; a son, James Whitman of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice.
