Harla Jean Bateman Wallace April 12, 1941-May 2, 2021 Harla Jean Bateman Wallace, 80, of Valley Mills passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at the Lutheran Sunset Ministries in Clifton, Texas. A private memorial service will be held later by the family. Jean enjoyed many hobbies such as crocheting, painting ceramics, and chalk painting. She and Bill were members of two square dance groups, Graham Promenaders in Graham, Texas, and Mid Cities Rustlers of Hurst, Euless, and Bedford Areas. Bill and Jean also enjoyed many years of camping in their RV. They were lifetime member of the Good Sam's Club, where they served as Assistant State Directors of the Dallas area. For many years Jean a long side Bill researched the family's genealogy tracing their families back many generations. Jean married Bill Wallace on January 17, 1958, they enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Together they have a son, Curt Wallace and wife Tammy of Valley Mills, Texas and a daughter, Jan Wallace Braddock and husband, Harrell Braddock, Jr. of Olney, Texas. Jean was Nana to 4 grandchildren, Leslie Braddock Fore and husband, Bo Fore of Graham, Texas, Tyler Wallace and Melissa Allen of Waco, Texas, Trey Braddock and wife Brooke of Austin, Texas, and Krystin Wallace Honea and husband Josh Honea of Valley Mills, Texas and 7 great-grandchildren, Addysin Campbell, Hadley and Hannah Fore, Spencer Wallace, Graham and Grace Braddock, and JJ Honea. Her family wishes to express their gratitude for the incredible care and support of Lutheran Sunset Ministries and Providence Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations would be made to The Alzheimer's Association @ alz.org to further research of dementia and Alzheimer's or to Providence Hospice.
