Ruth "Betty" Hirtzel, 102, Lincoln, Died 4/30/21 in Wahoo, NE. She was born 4/13/1919 in Lincolnville, KS to Frank and Agnes (Ptacek) Slaby. She retired from Goodyear where she worked as a belt flipper. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Am. Legion Aux. Post #342, DAV Aux., VFW, Aux. and was a volunteer at the Veteran's Hospital and Lancaster Manor. Family includes: Son, Wayne (Dot) Kubitz, Lincoln; daughter, Carla (Scott) Finkner, Lincoln; grandchildren, Jeff (Tammy) Kubitz, Laura Kubitz and Nicole Finkner; great grandchildren, Jeremy Kubitz, Katrina Pierce and Tasha Pierce; sister Lucille Nealy, Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl, 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00AM, Wednesday, 5/5/21 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6111 Morrill Ave., Lincoln, NE. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral at the church.
