OBITUARY - "Reporter News" Published April 25, 2001 BIG SPRING - Egelee Patterson, 93, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in a local nursing home. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Dudley Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Coahoma Cemetery. She was born Oct. 21, 1907 in Rosston, TX and married Morris Clifton Patterson July 25, 1928 in Lubbock. He preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1953. Mrs. Patterson worked for Cosden Oil and Chemical Company for 10 years, retiring in 1968. She was a member of East Fourth Street Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include a daughter, Dorthy Derden of Abilene; a sister, Levie Mae Rowland of Morton; 13 grandchildren; more than 30 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Katherine Edwards; and a granddaughter. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
