Barbara Ann (McHenry) Hughes June 17, 1949 ~ April 27, 2021 (age 71) Meadowbrook Funeral Home Marshall, Texas Beloved wife, cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, treasured sister and friend, Barbara Ann Hughes, age 71, passed away in Mooringsport, Louisiana on April 27, 2021. Barbara was born on June 17, 1949 in Norfolk, Virginia. Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Mike Boscia. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Coy Hughes; her daughters, Lori Ranae Taylor (Clay), Sandra Lynn Hughes (John Martin), and Tammy Sue Gamble (Frank); grandchildren, Ashley (David), Tyler (Kourtney), Joshua (Megan), Morgan (Tate), Adam (Kaylyn), Raley and Leah; great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Ann and Benjamin Coy; brothers, James McHenry, Frank Boscia, Nick Boscia, Bill Boscia and Ronnie Lewis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Sharon Dulaney and Kenneth and Mary Hughes; best friends, Brenda Carte, Barbara Bamberg and Barbara Douget; her precious fur babies, Molly and Dallas, as well as numerous other family and friends who loved her dearly. Barbara worked in the grocery business as a Customer Service Manager at Kroger for many years. She was an excellent cook (famous for her hot sauce) and loved to collect a variety of cookbooks. She was creative outside the kitchen as well, creating floral arrangements and designing and making bracelets. Barbara enjoyed cruising and also spending time outdoors, especially fishing and weekend camping trips with family and friends. Barbara loved Jesus with all her heart and was known for her saying, "It's all gonna be okay". She was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Joyce Shotwell, Dr. Bob and Mrs. Lisa Massingill, Dr. Walker May, Nicole Poindexter, Danielle Freeman, Abbi Leonard, Dorothy, Alicia and all the NCMC Staff for the love they gave our Momma! "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." ~ Phillippians 4:13 A time of visitation will be held for Barbara on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5:00-7:00pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will also be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Rockdale Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
