Obituary (from the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow funeral home website): Mark Strickland, 55, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on April 30, 2017 in Greenville. He was born on November 29, 1961 in McKinney, Texas to Martin Glyn Strickland and Mary Frances (Drake) Strickland. He worked as a long haul truck driver for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wylie and was a man of faith who loved Jesus. He is survived by his children, Jeff Strickland and wife Laci of Wylie, TX, Jennifer Strickland of Greenville, TX and Jordan Strickland of Wylie, TX; grandchildren, Camden and Levi Strickland; brothers, Gentry Strickland and wife Kellie of McKinney, TX, Martin Glyn Strickland Jr. and wife Cookie of McKinney, TX and Guthry Strickland and wife Lisa of Murphy, TX; sister, Teresa Beth Strickland of Sherman; lifelong friend of 30 years, Lorie Strickland of Wylie, TX and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
