Bio

Bonnie Stricklin Ward, of Gardendale passed away April 23, 2021. Bonnie was valedictorian of Meek High School Class of 1956 and retired from BellSouth after more than 30 years' service. She was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church, who actively visited the local nursing home assisting in their church services. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Eugene Ward; daughter, Rhonda Schaaphok; parents, William and Cordie Stricklin; sister, Helen Buttram; and brothers: Avery Stricklin, Olvin Stricklin, Olen Stricklin, Dewitt Stricklin and Tom Stricklin. Visitation will be held at Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, April 26 beginning at 1PM with Chapel Services at 2 PM and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
