Mary A Navratil Obit Mary A. Navratil, 84, Wheat Ridge, Colo., formerly of Lincoln, died July 11, 2002. She was born April 30, 1918, in Seward County to Frank and Betty (Hain) Miriovsky. She attended Patrick School in rural Seward County and graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1936. She taught in District 63 in Butler County and District 13 in Seward County. On Oct. 8, 1940, she married Raymond Navratil in Bee at St. Wenceslaus Church. The couple lived on a farm east of Bee. Twenty years later, the couple moved north of Bee and in 1964, they moved to Dodge County east of Fremont. Then they moved to Fremont and in 1972, to Lincoln. Mrs. Navratil worked for the State Department of Education and Rehabilitation, where she organized the Educational Secretaries of Nebraska and was a charter member of the organization. Later she worked for Centel Telephone Company and in Lincoln in the Sears furniture department. She was a charter member of the Star City Toastmasters Club, a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont and St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Lincoln. She was a volunteer for the St. Teresa's Thrift Shop Angels and Madonna Hospital, a 26- year member of the Lincoln Czech Club and a 50-year member of Katholichy Delnek in Bee and Dwight. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Navratil; and a granddaughter, Kari Lynn Navratil. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, David Navratil, Lincoln, Ray D. Navratil, Jr., Lincoln, Loren and Connie Navratil, Arvada, Colo., and Robert and Ana Navratil, Lakewood, Colo.; daughter and sonin-law, Karen and Richard Dolezal, Arvada,Colo.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Miriovsky, David City, and Joseph Miriovsky, Brainard; and sisters, Phyllis Kantor, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Betty Smith, Seward. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 17, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Lincoln at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas MacLean officiating. Burial will be at the Seward Cemetery.
