Obituary: "The Paris News", Paris, TX 14 Jan 1935 Powderly Woman Dies Here Sunday Mrs. Oma Saffel, 38, wife of Lee H. Saffel, of Powderly, died Sunday night at 11 o'clock at the St. Joseph hospital following an operation there Saturday morning. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Powderly Methodist church conducted by the Rev. W. H. Wright, the Rev. R. E. Parker, and the Rev. N. C. Walters and interment will be at Long cemetery east of Powderly. The deceased is survived by her husband and six children, Vivian, Wanda and Jeannette, W. R., Houston and Pernie Saffel; two sisters, Mrs. L. N. Crawford of Tye and Mrs. P. A. Smyers of Powderly; and three brothers, W. A. Frederick of Moyer, Okla., and Robert Frederick of Ballinger.
