Bio

Richard "Richey" Polk, 76, of Slaton, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021. Viewing will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday (March 31). A graveside service will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday (March 31) at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements were under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Richey was born June 1, 1944 in Slaton to Donald and Lois Polk. He graduated from Slaton High School in 1963. He married Nancy Buxkemper on July 16, 1964 in Slaton. Early on, Richey worked in retail sales at C. R. Anthony's, Gibson's and Montgomery Ward. Then he went to work for Santa Fe Railroad and retired after 30 years in 2004. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Veletta Limmer; and his brother, Randy Polk.
