Julius Charles Ermis Jr. Julius Charles "JC" Ermis, 57, passed away on June 3, 2014 in Washington, DC. He was born on January 14, 1957 in Refugio, Texas to Julius Charles Ermis and Leona Stuchly Ermis. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert, he is survived by his brother, Edward Ermis; his sisters, Gloria Martin, Anna Wealty, Joyce Wolak and Pamela Heine; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving family members and friends. JC grew up in Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a B. A. in the humanities. He came to Washington, D.C. in 1979 to further his education and was awarded an M.A. in international affairs at The George Washington University in 1982. His long and successful career in the telecommunications industry spanned 32 years, culminating in his position of Marketing and Proposal Manager at Turner Consulting Group where he was known for his professionalism, pride, dedication and good humor. JC was a kind and generous son, brother, uncle and cousin, a man with a love of his Czech heritage, travel, art, cooking, and hosting dinners for his friends. Although shy, he was known for his droll sense of humor and quiet charm. He was a wonderful friend who will be sorely missed.A memorial service will be held later this summer. Donations in JC's memory may be made to the Whitman-Walker Clinic and the American Cancer Society.
