Services for Rex L. Geiger, 70, Topeka, were today at Countryside Christian Church in Topeka with military services by American Legion Post No. 400. Burial was in Grantville Cemetery in Grantville. Mr. Geiger died Saturday at a Topeka hospital. He was born March 31, 1920, in Otis, Colo., and lived in Topeka most of his life. Mr. Geiger was a U.S. Navy veteran, who served during World War II at the U.S. Naval Armed Guard Center in the Pacific Theater, the U.S. Naval Receiving Station, San Francisco, Calif., and the U.S.S. Samuel B. Roberts. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the American Area Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Area Medal and the European-African-Middle East Area Medal. He was a repairman for Southwestern Bell Telephone until he retired in 1983. He was a member of Countryside Christian Church, American Legion Post No. 400 and Telephone Pioneers of America. He married Colleen M. Reed on July 1, 1951, in Clay Center. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Jerry R. Moradian, Carlinville, Ill.; a sister, Margaret Goddard, Marysville; a brother, Walter Geiger, Lawrence; and six grandchildren. Monday, March 11, 1991 ljworld
