Bio

William's mother was Sarah Abernethy who was born in 1802 in Belfast, Ireland and died in Dummer, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada on 18 Jan 1865. His father was Robert McMillen who was born 1800 in Antrim, Ireland. They left Belfast, Ireland in 1828 coming to New York and settling in Ontario, Canada. Five years after Sarah died, Robert and two of his children, John and Susanna left for Stanton Nebraska in 1870. William's siblings were: Sarah Jane McMillen Corrigan (1834-1903); James Francis (Frank) McMillen (1837-1899) FAG #130839292; Henry McMillen (1838-1905); Thomas Thomas McMillen (1840-1923); John McMillen(1840-1904) FAG #49851837; Susanna McMillen Stevens (1846-1910) FAG #129396330.
