Bio
He was born on Feb. 28, 1919, to Clifton and Bell Stricklin Calvert. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Verlon, Sim, Ovel and Offiee Calvert; and two sisters, Lillie Bell Poston and Mullice Calvert.Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Christine Calvert; two sons, Dennis (Doris) Calvert of Fultondale and Ray (Barbara) Calvert of Crane Hill; a daughter, Evelyn (Charles) Easterwood of Bremen; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.Pallbearers were Keith Calvert, Allen Calvert, Darrell Calvert, Todd Calvert, Chad Calvert and Brandon Harbison.
