Bio

Services for Mrs. P.M. Scott were held at the First Baptist Church in Anson. She died at her home, six miles southeast of Anson. Mrs. Scott came to Jones County with her husband in 1876 and established a camp in Anson before the first house was built. In 1879, the moved to their present home and lived there since except for two years they lived in Bosque County. Her husband preceded her in death. Surviving are seven children - W.C. Scott, O.D. Scott, O.F. Scott, S.B. Scott; three daughters - Mrs. Etta Brinkley, Mrs. Albert Brown, Mrs. Fred Ward; 44 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
