The Schuyler Sun, January 17, 1980, p. 7A, col. 6 Augusta Rezac, 97 dies in Columbus Mrs. Augusta Rezac, 97, former Schuyler resident, died Jan. 8 at Columbus Manor. Rev. Jerome H. Dickes officiated at the Thursday, 11 a.m., Mass of the Resurrection at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Svoboda Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was in Schuyler Cemetery. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Divis, she was born June 13, 1882 at Brainard. She was married to Louis Rezac on June 27, 1902 at Brainard. A Schuyler resident from 1949 to 1959, she moved to David City and lived with her daughter until May of 1979. Survivors include a daughter, (Helen) Mrs.Charles Marek, Columbus; one brother, Edward, Genoa, and one granddaughter. Mrs. Rezac was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one sister and two brothers.
