Homolka Funeral services were conducted Friday morning, April 9, from St. Patrick’s Church, Omaha, for Mrs. George Homolka, 47, Omaha, who died April 6 at Bergan Mercy Hospital, Omaha, as the result of a blood clot. Officiating was Father Sullivan. Pallbearers were Darwin Nordmeyer, Rudy Fencl, Frank Jelinek, Emil Eret, Bill Eret and Frank Hromas. Burial was in Hillcrest Sunset Gardens. Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Leu of Norfolk, Mr. and Mrs. James Prchal and daughters of Norfolk, Don Smith of Holdrege, Agnes Suhler of Grand Island, Frank and Mary Hromas of Valparaiso, Mr. and Mrs. John Prolifca and family of Valparaiso, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Allen and family of Valparaiso, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plisek of Lincoln, and Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Fencl of Wahoo were among the out-of-town relatives in attendance at the services. Christine Prchal, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Prchal, was born March 10, 1918, at Nimberg in Butler county. She attended school at Bruno and Prague. On August 28, 1937, she was married at Bruno to George Homolka. One son, Maynard, was born to this union. The family lived in Bruno four years, and for the past 24 years resided in Omaha. Mrs. Homolka was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Omaha. Survivors include her husband, George; one son, Maynard of Omaha; three granddaughters, Terri, Sheri and Jeri Homolka, three brothers, Frank Prchal of Bruno, James Prchal of Norfolk, and Joe Prchal of Omaha; and two sisters, Marie Leu of Norfolk and Martha Fencl of Omaha.
