Bio

Sabina Elizabeth (Sammie) Reat, 30, of Round Rock, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 1998, in a Houston hospital. Sabina was a fun loving person who enjoyed life to its fullest. She always had a smile and a joke for everyone. She was the talented and family photographer and a great organizer. Survivors include her parents, Bina and C. T. (Sam) Reat; special friend, Brad Winkler; sisters, Pennie McCauley and husband, Jack, and Linda Turner; three nieces; one nephew; two great-nephews; and one great-niece. She is the niece of Betty Zimmerhanzel, Marge Gerhart, Carol Stoneman, Joe Barcuch and Joyce Hall; and survived by many other family members. A wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Katy, Texas, with Deacon William C. Wagner officiating. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, at the S. S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, with Reverend Robert Kincl, Celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery in Granger. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 5615 Kirby Dr., Suite 500, Houston, TX 77005, or the charity of your choice.
