Company G, 54th Alabama Regiment, C.S.A. Source: "Alabama Dead at Atlanta" in The [Montgomery, Ala.] Weekly Advertiser newspaper, issue of Tuesday, May 14, 1867. He enlisted in 1861 at Memphis, Tenn. He was a son of Elisha Hightower.
