James Joseph Polak was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who passed away surrounded by his family at the age of 81 on January 10th, 2021 in Pomona, CA. He is survived by his 4 children, Debra (Dennis) Edmon, Denise Polak, Kevin Polak, Diane (Tim) Gomez, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Katherine "Kathy" (Murphy) Polak, father, James Polak, mother, Beatrice (Stuchlik) Polak, sisters Lyla (Polak) Kouma and Janice (Polak) Crook.Jim was born to James and Beatrice Polak on March 10, 1939, in Wahoo, NE. He was raised in David City, NE. He married the love of his life, Kathy on October 11, 1957. He was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Navy. He raised his children in West Covina and moved to San Dimas in 1996. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years and retired in 2002. He owned Le Sun Club Tanning, in Covina until the late '90s.
