"Janice Crook, 73, of Lincoln, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at her home. Janice was born November 18, 1942, in Prague, Nebraska to James and Beatrice (Stuchlik) Polak. She attended area schools and graduated from David City High School. On August 26, 1961, she married Harry Crook at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City. They lived in David City and Schuyler the past 45 years,moving to Lincoln in 2014. Jan had worked at Excel in Schuyler and was a cook at Schuyler Grade School. She is survived by her husband, Harry Crook of Lincoln, three sons; Steve (Kim) Crook of Crab Orchard, Nebraska, Craig (Tina) Crook, New Castle, Colorado, David (Kathy) Crook, Kearney, a sister, Lyla (Dan) Kouma, Sr. of Seward, brother, James (Kathy) Polak of San Dimas, California, 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
