James A. Dill, Sr., 78, of Lincoln, passed away Nov. 5, 2016. Born June 25, 1938, to Claire C. and Violet A. (Swenson) Dill in Lincoln. Retired owner & proprietor of Hollywood Bowl (25 years). Past president: Lincoln Mens Bowling Assn., Lincoln Bowling Proprietors, SE Nebraska Bowling Proprietors, Nebraska Bowling Proprietors, Nebraska Bowling Council, Nebraska Sports Council, Bowling Proprietors Assn. of America – Midwest Region. Family includes wife, Ruby, Lincoln; children, Jim Dill, Jr. (Jan), Bob Dill (Lisa), Bill Dill all Lincoln. Seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie (Hollis) Cook, Papillion. Several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and daughter, Beth Foreman. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Sheridan Lutheran Church, 70th & Old Cheney Rd. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Nebraska Sports Council, ALS Foundation (Mid-America Chapter), Wounded Warrior Project, Lincoln Foundation – Book of Memory, USBC Bowling Hall of Fame, or in care of the family.
