Bio

A funeral for Archie L. Evans, 31, Athens will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. James Johnson and Rev. Warren Perkins officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with McConnell-Service Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Evans died Friday morning in Nashville. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Marian Evans; a son, Samuel L. Evans; his mother, Mrs. Edna Evans, and a brother, James Evans. (Published Huntsville Times, Huntsville, AL, Sunday, Nov. 10, 1963) TN Death Certificate states he died from a brain tumor.
