Idell Vunia Latimer (Steed) Friday, September 30th, 1949 - Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 Services for Idell Vunia Steed Latimer, 71, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2021, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Jimmy Jarrett officiating. Interment will be in Dunbar Cemetery, Emory. Mrs. Latimer passed away February 9, 2021, in Sulphur Springs. She was born September 30, 1949, in Quitman, to Stanley Walter and Mildred Estell Love Steed. Idell lived all her life in Rains County. She was a minister and was a member of Pilgrim Rest #1 Baptist Church, Emory. Idell loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her dogs, Bella and Patton. She worked for many years for Senior Suites Caring and Rehab in Emory. She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Joe Brimer. Survivors include her husband, Allen Latimer of Emory; son, Jimmy Brimer of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Teresa Aguilar and husband Greg of Emory; foster daughter, Ramona Griggs and husband Ricky of Michigan; sister, Martha Kirkpatrick of Emory; eight grandchildren, Amber, Chris, Ashley, Deanna, Daniel, Alyssa, Lexi, and William; seven great-grandchildren, Brilee, Ireland, Chandler, John Jr., Peyton Jo, Lucas and Kate; and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Chris Aguilar, Daniel Aguilar, John Hogan, Kasey Berna, Tyler Kearns, and Bob Stephens. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
