Bio

Rosemarie Martin went into the loving arms of our glorious God on February 5, 2021, at the age of 89 in the comfort of her home. She was born in Jourdanton on June 3, 1931, to Thomas Pesek and Ludmilla "Lily" Kallus Pesek. Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Mitchell Martin Jr., parents, Tom and Lillie Pesek, brothers Louis Pesek, Ernest Pesek, Buck Pesek, Ben Pesek, Jerry Pesek, Vac Pesek, and Mark Pesek, and her sisters Lille Pesek, Marie Burrus, and Ann Foster. Rose is survived by her brothers, Charlie Pesek (Mary) of Houston, George Pesek(Anna) of Corpus Christi, along with sister-in-law Teresa Pesek of New Braunfels. She leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews and was like a Second-Mom to niece Mona Dornak (Darrell) of Victoria, and their sons Mitchell (Jillian) of Dallas, and Luke of Ft. Worth, and daughter LeeAnn of Austin, nephew Tom Foster (Jill) of Jourdanton, and their son Zane of Austin, and niece Liz Foster of San Antonio. The family wishes to thank her wonderful caregivers, Sandra Herrera and Olivia Reyes for the loving care and dedication they gave to Rose. By our faith we know Rose is reunited with her loved ones in heaven, surrounded by angels, beauty, peace, and rest. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Matthews Catholic Church in Jourdanton. Services for Rosemarie will be on Friday, February 12, 2021, at St Matthew Catholic Church, located at 1700 Campbell Avenue, Jourdanton, starting with a reading of the rosary at 1:00 pm, and a mass at 2:00 pm, followed by interment at Christine City Cemetery.
