Bio
Ricky Glen Young entered into eternal peace on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Ricky was born on January 27, 1959, the son of Elbert and Dorothy Young. He was raised and lived his entire life in Van Alstyne, Texas. Ricky was a highly skilled carpenter who worked side by side with his brother, Frank. He was a very kind and gentle soul; he had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. Ricky was very talented and liked to build things to give to his family and friends. He also loved carving and painting ducks; and he enjoyed spending his time outdoors either fishing or hunting. Ricky was predeceased by his loving parents and brother, Frank. He leaves fond memories to be cherished by his wife, Paula; his son, Cole; his sister Reba Raulston and her husband, Billy; his brother Don Young and his wife, Bonita; and Frank’s wife, Helen. He will also be remembered and loved by his nieces, Karen Boulton and her husband, Bobby; Julie Coker and her husband, Clint; his nephews Robert and his wife, Laura; Jason Young, and his wife, Amy; and Ryan Reed; and his grandnieces, Abby, Emery, and Evelyn; and grandnephews Toby and Kaleb. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial that will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel, 637 W. Van Alstyne, Pkwy.
