Bio
Frank was originally cremated and his ashes were buried on what would have been his 70th birthday. Services for Frank D. Young will be held at 2:00 pm; Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. The Mantua Lodge # 209 will conduct the service. Frank D. Young was born September 12, 1948, in Sherman, Texas. He died March 30, 2018, at Medical City of Plano. Frank attended Van Alstyne School, served in the United States Navy and is a member of Mantua Lodge in Van Alstyne and was a carpenter by trade. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Dorothy Harris Young. Frank is survived by his wife Helen Young of Van Alstyne. Son: Ryan Reed of Van Alstyne. Brother; Don Young and his wife Bonita of Van Alstyne. Brother; Ricky Young of Van Alstyne. Sister; Reba Raulston and husband Billy of Van Alstyne. Nephews: Jason Young and wife Amy of Sherman: Robert Raulston and wife Laura of Van Alstyne: Cole Young of Howe. Nieces: July Coker and husband Clint of Van Alstyne and Karen Boulton and husband Bobby of Van Alstyne. 2 grandsons: Dylan Reed of Killeen, and Gabriel Reed of Madison, Alabama. Frank was loved by family and friends and will be forever missed. Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair; perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say; perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the part.
